Mar 26, 2020 · Draytek Smart VPN Client 5.3.0 on Windows 10. I must have installed in on 20 PC's in the last 24 hours and have found that the feature "Auto run VPN when system start up" does not work. I was expecting it to negotiate the specified connection. I did call Draytek about this but all i got was "We will test this and get back to you".
I have 10 Draytek SSL Users all setup and working fine connecting back to a Draytek 2960 but I have 1 that just refuses to work. I've reinstalled the Draytek Smart VPN Client, I've copied the profiles.cfg to another laptop and it works fine. The settings are the exact same as the ones that work. Here is what the log file on the laptop has to say - Install and run Smart VPN Client, click Insert to creat e a new VPN profile. Enter Vigor Router's WAN IP in VPN Server/HOST Name fie l d. Click OK to save the profile. Leave Authentication Method as AUTO, select "Automatically get IP address & DNS server" and click OK. But with a remote dial-in IPSec VPN connection, the vpn client will not be assigned any ip address by the VPN server.
