If your router does not display the OpenDNS IPs where indicated, then your router is experiencing a Linksys firmware bug that would need to be resolved by Linksys. Older Linksys models are known to work; however, recent firmware on more recent models contain this issue in its DNS settings that prevent them from applying.

Before I get the chance to look at it, I hear a long laundry list of things that were attempted to get the wireless connection working. Like re-typing the encryption password a thousand times, "rebooting the router first then my PC" (and a dozen other different ways), even moving the PC closer to the router. Nothing works 🙁 Dear Lifehacker, My router sucks. Dec 16, 2007 · I have a linksys router that I can only get to work on one computer. I know it is not the NIC card, because if I connect the modem directly to my computer it works. When I have it all connected to the router the one computer that does not work, I type into the command prompt "ipconfig" all it shows me is Windows IP Configuration.
